North Woods

The 4th of July parade started with a Bald Eagle circling overhead and ended with Zoe with enough candy to last the summer. Many fun local groups for Zoe to cheer on marching down the road and they all were giving out candy, some even frisbees or beach balls.

At the local waterpark - "The biggest in the North Woods" - and you almost see the whole thing in this picture. Bob and Pat were there and gave us a nice break from the two year old. Zoe is a champ in water going under already. Of course Zoe can't miss the aracade either - she quickly spent 1.75 and earned one ticket, but with the last token, dad got lucky and hit the bonus giving Zoe another 110 tickets which she quickly spent on candy of course!

Zoe and Dad getting a chance at the lumberjack show to try out the two man saw. Zoe was able to pull her weight easily and didn't want to stop. If you're ever in Woodriff WI, stop by the show - don't worry, the town is small enough that you won't need directions.
Walking the Bearskin trail outside of Minoqua WI. It is 18miles long - we didn't do all 18. :) It used to be the railroad route to get the timber out of town. We maybe did 3 miles and saw at least 5 different lakes. No bears though.
