New Burn/Bridgeton

This place was our stop-over on the way from Virginia Beach to Wilmington. The KOA is amazing here - great park and pool, fishing pond that isn't full of gross stuff, and it is on the river connected to the Atlantic. The campground even has its own pier and launch ramp. Th only problem is it is in Bridgeton NC - it is like building Disneyworld in Iraq - probably not worth going to even though the destination is nice.

Zoe had a blast with the hose refilling the pool. The water was freezing relative to the pool water so she had fun squirting both of us.

New Bern NC - this pic is in front of the pharmacy where pepsi was made. Mr Bradham invented it right where we are standing in the pic - well, a few feet away inside the building I guess. Dentists and Internists around the world thank him for all of the business he created.

This is taken from the KOA pier - I just thought it looked like a very Southern scene. There has to be a gator or two lurking under there.

The Moo Cafe was our downtown New Bern destination. From what we could find, this was a must for tourists. Anyway, actually very good food and home made ice cream for cheap - and of course the cow them. Zoe had a great time and actually sat down and ate a cheese sandwich!!!! We are still in amazement. The cows made us think of the singing cows back at Hershey too.
