Dear, shall we go to the cape?

Odometer: 14840
Gas: 2.65

On our way south - we drove under Boston - this is our best pic of that. :) Seemed like something to take a picture of at the time at least.

Got this pic of us being passed by a truck pulling a HUGE (probably close to 40 ft) fifth wheel which was then pulling a dual motorcycle trailer. Very impressive, just don't want to see him trying to back up.

Yes, we made it to the birthplace of this great country - Plymouth Rock. and yes, there it is. Not sure how they ever decided on this one, but it is now immortalized with iron fencing surrounded by a greek looking super structure.

This is the Mayflower II - a replica of the original. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have wanted to cross the Atlantic in that thing unless life was REALLY bad at home. Maybe all of the pilgrims had two year olds at home?

Missy, Zoe, and Kes taking in the 'rock' and Plymouth bay.

The next day we decided to find out what all the commotion is about Cape Cod - we drove from the campground all the way out to Province town on the point. Zoe did great considering she was awake for the whole 90 minute drive. Thank goodness for the DVD player that morning. When we made it to Province town, she then decided to use her new scooter to go up and down the town - but it ended up being Missy and I trading turns pulling her on the the thing. It's like a poor man's segway. I guess fitting for the girl that lives in a trailer. :)

The only Merry-go-round in Province town.

Province town beach taken from the artists pier.

If you don't know anything about Province town - it is an artist/eclectic community on the very tip of Cape Cod with no quick way to get there - and this sign is a very good example of what the locals are into. Enough said.

Oh, so clever. for a second I thought I was on some liberal arts college campus.

The pilgrim memorial in Provincetown. Yup, a really tall stone tower. Oooohhhh, aaawwwww.

All of the little huts on the pier are different art studios. Perfect for that tourist that already has everything except for a bad watercolor of a random boat.
